Professional Diploma in Wound Management: Current Guidelines

Course Description:

This course is designed to expand the participants’ knowledge, skills, and competency in the assessment and management of both acute and chronic wounds in practice areas. The course will allow participants to apply their current knowledge and evidence-based practices to patients with acute and chronic wounds. It will also allow them to focus on the health education of patients and their families in preventing wound complications.

Number of contact hours:

The total theoretical and practicum hours are 450 hours, extended over a nine month period.

  • Theory: 170 hours (8 hours per week, 32 hours per month) for 6 months.
  • Clinical: 280 hours; 35 shifts (8 hours per week, 32 hours per month) for 9 months.
